February is the month we celebrate Presidents Day, and Valentine’s Day. This year there is another celebration taking place on the 12th and throughout the year. More than 450 churches are joining with universities, plus humanist and scientific organizations celebrating the 200th birthday of a man and his worldview responsible for the death of hundreds of thousands of people world-wide. His worldview and teachings continue to be taught in our public schools and colleges throughout the country and world.

His philosophy of life clearly teaches your existence has no purpose and any meaning you may experience will come from what you can achieve on your own. This philosophy continues to teach information that has been proven false for many decades hiding behind the cloak of science. It is not real science, only a philosophy of science that places man at the center of a purely materialistic world. It states nothing exists beyond what we can experience with our senses.

This philosophy gives a person no hope for the future. For when you die, you return to dirt and nothing more. Similar to a bug crushed under the sole of your shoe. There is no afterlife of any kind and consequently no accountability to a supreme judge or God. How depressing, I guess I’ll go eat worms!

The birthday many will celebrate is of Charles Darwin, the one who thrust molecules-to-man evolution upon academia. For about 150 years we have been told life came from non-life—scientifically impossible—and your ancestors lived in trees. We are told through blind chance and surviving death, bloodshed, disease and violence only the fittest survived; and here we are today on the brink of global suicide.

You can chose to believe the fallible works from a fallible man in his book, “On the Origin of Species,” or you can believe—as I do and many world-renowned scientists—the book written by the infallible eyewitness of earth’s origin: the God of scripture.

Referring to Jesus Christ, the Apostle Paul writes:

“He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.” —Colossians 1:15-16

“For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.” —Romans 1:20

“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.” —Psalm 19:1

How sad that Christian churches want to celebrate a philosophy of death and atheism. It is a blatant contradiction to the very word they are suppose to believe and defend

“Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt I had to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints.” —Jude 1:3

“For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles. Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie ...” —Romans 1:21-25a

If you’re searching for the reason you exist or hope for the future, the place to begin is with the author of life.
