The nations surrounding Israel at that time often worshiped and deified parts of the created world. For example, many worshiped the sun, stars, moon, animals, and man. Sounds silly, but today many believe in a pantheistic worldview that says everything is God and God is everything.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name. Psalm 100:4
Attitude: from the moment we wake up our attitude can and will shape how our day will go; how we look at events and people is often determined by our attitude. However, attitude is something we can change, it should not control us.
