Worldwide Games

Pilot Knob Lutheran         Worldwide Games                8/7/2024

Every four years the world waits with anticipation to watch the world’s best athletes compete in the Olympics. It has provided clean entertainment for all ages and a time of global unity.

However, what took place at the opening games this year cannot and must not be ignored or forgotten. To do so will only embolden more Satanic activity directed at the Christian church; that’s you and I. As millions of all ages looked on we were all shocked to see a blatantly blasphemous parody of the Last Supper performed by drag queens, lesbian (Jesus) and more perversion.

Thomas Jolly, director of the opening ceremony, when criticized for the depiction of the Last Supper said: “The idea was to have a pagan celebration connected to the gods of Olympus. You will never find in me a desire to mock and denigrate anyone.” Really?! I believe this shows how far the spiritual war on every Chrisitan in the world has gone. No more hiding in the shadows, it’s now in your face.

How did this happen? The true Christian church has for the most part assimilated into the world, or should I say the world has marched into the church with boldness and has found a set with the elite. The church has become complacent and indifferent to secular and now pagan (demonic) practices. We have been silenced by fear and intimidation. Or, because it doesn’t affect “me” the world is ignored, just like the churches did in pre-Nazi Germany.

What we witnessed at the opening Olympics is what progressives are all about, and they will not stop unless there is a strong push back by standing for truth, speaking truth, prayer, voting, and practicing a biblical worldview.

Someone has said that “a Christianity without courage is cultural atheism.” “What a special privilege it is to be called to represent Christ at this pivotal moment of history! We are called for such a time as this. And we must pray that our light might shine more brightly than ever in our darkening world.” Erwin W. Lutzer

Third Sunday after Epiphany

People travel to wonder at the heights of mountains, at the huge waves of the sea, at the long courses of rivers, at the vast compass of the ocean, at the circular motions of the stars; and they pass by themselves without wondering.

Second Sunday After Epiphany

Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the
rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this
dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the

Desire

Psalm 73:25-26 Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

Gratitude

The opposite of humility is pride, the epic center of every sin. Pride is what caused Satan to fall and the Fall of Adam and Eve. (Genesis 3 and Ezekiel 28:12-17) Pride prevents us form seeing the hand of God in daily life and causing us to focus on – Me!
